Year 1983
Company started by Mr Hilton Matus who is still the Managing Director.
With a background in computers dating back to the 1970’s Hilton was inspired to
design software that would help soft furnishers manage the day-to-day business
of curtain estimating.
In 1983 The Computer Centre (Manchester) Ltd. (later to become CCM ACE LTD.)
founded with the launch of Hilton’s software concept, ACE Automatic Curtain
Estimating. Under his direction, the company continues to develop and launch
innovative software products for soft furnishing professionals.
As Managing director of CCM ACE LTD. Hilton Matus oversees all aspects of the company’s software design,
including conception, development, production and implementation A native South
African, Hilton resides in Manchester.
The system has grown over the years as we
listened to our customers requirements and updated the system with new features from:
1983 – ACE DOS first version release – calculated for one pair of curtains & printed
quote out.
Year 1985
The 2nd generation of the DOS system was born with many new features. ACE now calculates & prints out for multiple curtains & saves the estimate, this was a major advancement.
Year 1986
ACE now calculates pelmets & valances
Year 1987
As the years rolled on New Ace packages were written for different sectors of
the market.
The 4th generation of the DOS system was born with yet more new features
Year 1988
It was becoming very difficult to maintain all the different packages so a new
system was created to cater for all sectors in one system. This system combined
all the features from all the other systems into one
Year 1990
ACE 2 launched for large domestic market & Contract Market
Year 1996
Yet again development took place to split the system into 3 for different sectors
ACE now has 3 versions ACE LITE - ACE STANDARD - ACE SENIOR
Year 1998
As computers were changing and the
window operating system was launched ACE was re-developed into the window
environment.
Year 1999
ACE For Windows launched
Year 2000
Moved to larger premises as
business expanded. Re branded the Company as CCM ACE LTD. Incorporating “ACE”
into the Company Name.
Launched POP Purchase Order Processing package
Year 2002
2002 – Launched BCS Book Control System & ACE Email
Year 2003
2003 – Launched ACE Invoice
Year 2004
2004 – ACE For Windows New website launched
Year 2010
2010 – Relocated to larger premises with a dedicated Training Room / Demo Room & more facilities.
